Our numbing cream for epilating is perfect for desensitizing your skin and works on a range of different skin treatments such as waxing, tattooing and even some cosmetic procedures. Using our numbing cream for epilating, you can go into all your cosmetic procedures and experience practically no pain!
Our numbing cream for epilating works in a very simple way. All it does is block pain signals to the area it is applied to from reaching the brain. As soon as you apply the numbing cream onto the skin, it will start to absorb, this is when it will start to kick in. Make sure that you apply it an hour before your session as it is most effective at this time. Your skin will then be numbed, gradually becoming less effective after 2 hours until it completely wears off.
I used this product on my client last week and he barely felt any of the linework on his chest! Great product and fantastic customer service :)
I will definitely be using this for all of my piercings from now on. I've had a few piercings before but always found them painful - This makes it so much easier!
I didn't know what to expect as a friend recommended this to me. I couldn't feel a thing when getting my last piercing, and it was in a very 'painful' area!
How do I apply numbing cream for epilating?
In order to get effective results, DO NOT DRINK ANY FORM OF ALCOHOL within 24 hours of your epilating session. If you do consume alcohol, our numbing cream for epilating may not work as well.
Make sure that you complete a spot test the day before you epilate, to make sure that you aren’t allergic to our product. To complete this properly, apply a small amount to an area of skin for 20 minutes to make sure that your skin doesn’t become inflamed. Bear in mind that it is normal to experience some minor, localised redness.
Steps to take when applying numbing cream for epilating:
Wash the area you plan on epilating with soap, water and an exfoliant to remove any dirt or dead skin. This will not only help prevent ingrown hairs, but it will also help the cream sink into the skin. Once clean, dry the area completely.
Apply a thick layer of numbing cream (2mm thick) to the area you plan to epilate and rub it in thoroughly.
Cover the area with cling film- this will help to activate the cream and stop it from drying out.
Leave the cream and wrap in place for 90 minutes before the procedure
After 90 minutes, remove the cling film and wipe the cream away with a paper towel
You’re ready to experience a pain-free epilating session

What is numbing cream for epilating used for?
Numbing cream for epilating has a wide range of uses. Most commonly, it is used to reduce unbearable pain during medical and cosmetic skin procedures. These include: Tattooing, Laser Hair Removal, Waxing, Injections, Blood tests, Vaccinations, Dermal Fillers, Permanent Makeup, Piercings and other cosmetic skin treatments. Due to the fact that our signature skin numbing cream is suitable to be used by adults and children of any age, it is a great way to help your child face needles with confidence. From blood tests to jabs for a foreign holiday, needles are an inevitable part of your child’s life. Not forgetting the many immunisations they’ll need for school, including HPV vaccination at 12-13 years of age. With skin numbing cream, their stresses and fears around needles can be greatly reduced.
How long does numbing cream for epilating last?
Numbing cream for epilating remains effective for around 2 hours after application. After this, it will gradually become less effective and sensitivity will start to return to that area of the skin. Keep in mind that it should be applied 30-60 minutes before treatment for it to have maximum effect during the procedure. This means that timing is crucial when it comes to applying numbing cream for epilating. You don’t want to apply it too late, but also not too early so that it begins to wear off during your procedure.
Are there any common side effects to numbing cream for epilating?
Like all medicines, numbing cream for epilating can cause some minor side effects, although not everyone will experience them. A mild reaction (paleness or redness of the skin, slight puffiness, initial burning or itching) may temporarily occur in the area where the cream is applied. This is common and should disappear in a short while. If you experience any troublesome or unusual effects, stop using it and check with your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.
If you know that you are prone to having sensitive skin, you can test a small amount first. Keep in mind that some minor localised redness is normal.
