Benefits of Numbing Cream For Microblading

To achieve the full benefits, You should apply the numbing cream for microblading with a q-tip to the area where you will get the microblading done approximately 1 hour before the microblading treatment. After the numbing cream for microblading is activated the area will be numb for 3-4 hours.

Some professionals offer numbing cream and some don’t, however we advise that you do use numbing cream as the procedure can be painful and we know that you would rather have a better experience so you don’t have to miss the opportunity of getting the treatment.

Besides easing discomfort, when the area is numbed you are less likely to move around during the treatment, which can affect the outcome. If you are calm and still throughout, you'll get optimal results!

Whoever came up with the saying ‘beauty is pain’ has clearly never tried our magical numbing cream for microblading! Try it out for yourself and we assure you you’ll never want to head into another appointment without it. This is not just numbing cream for microblading, but for all your future cosmetic skin procedures!

I will definitely be using this for all of my piercings from now on. I've had a few piercings before but always found them painful - This makes it so much easier!

I didn't know what to expect as a friend recommended this to me. I couldn't feel a thing when getting my last piercing, and it was in a very 'painful' area!

  • Numbing Cream For Microblading FAQs

  • How does numbing cream for microblading work?

Numbing cream for microblading works by blocking pain signals in the area it has been applied to from reaching the brain. As anyone who has used this cream before will tell you, it is highly effective. The area will be numbed for up to 2 hours, gradually becoming less effective after that as it begins to wear off.

Make sure you know before the procedure exactly where you’ll need to apply the topical numbing cream on your skin. As soon as you’ve applied the numbing cream for microblading, it will start to be gradually absorbed into the skin. Once absorbed, the numbing effect will kick in. It is most effective between 1-2 hours after application so if you’ve got an upcoming appointment, you’ll want to apply it roughly an hour and a half before.

  • How to apply numbing cream for microblading

In order to ensure maximum numbing, please DON’T DRINK ANY FORM OF ALCOHOL within 24 hours of your procedure, or the numbing may not be as effective or long lasting.

Please spot test the day prior to use on a small area that’ll be pierced the next day, especially if you have sensitive skin, for 10-20 mins to ensure that your skin doesn’t become inflamed. Some minor localised redness is normal.

    Steps for use:

    1. Wash and exfoliate the area to be pierced thoroughly with soap, water and exfoliator to remove dirt and dead skin. This will help the cream to penetrate. Dry off the area completely.

    2. Apply a thick amount of numbing cream (2mm thick) to the area and rub in thoroughly.

    3. Cover with cling film. The heat under the plastic wrap helps activate the cream and keeps the cream from drying out.

    4. Leave cream and wrap in place for 90 minutes before procedure.

    5. After 90 minutes, remove the cling film and wipe the cream away with paper towel and you’re ready for your pain free microblading treatment!

  • What can numbing cream be used for?

Numbing cream has a wide range of uses. Most commonly, it is used to reduce unbearable pain or discomfort during cosmetic skin procedures. These include: Tattooing, Laser Hair Removal, Waxing, Injections, Blood tests, Vaccinations, Dermal Fillers, Permanent Makeup, Piercings and other aesthetic treatments. It can be used to numb any area of the body so the potential possibilites for it are endless!

Numbing cream is suitable to be used by all ages. So while adults (and children) may use numbing cream for microblading, it is also a great way to help your child face needles with confidence. With numbing cream, their stresses and fears around needles and vaccinations can be greatly reduced.

  • How long does numbing cream for microblading last?

Numbing cream for microblading remains effective for around 2 hours after application. After this, it will gradually become less effective and sensitivity will start to return to that area of the skin. Keep in mind that it should be applied at least 30-60 minutes before a treatment for it to have maximum effect during the procedure. This means that timing is crucial when it comes to applying numbing cream for microblading. You don’t want to apply it too late, but also not too early so that it begins to wear off during your session.

To ensure it doesn't ware off, you may want to apply it when you get to your appointement, in case the session before runs over or any other unexpected delays occur.

  • Are there any common side effects to numbing cream for microblading?

Similar to applying any new substance to your skin, numbing cream for microblading can cause some minor side effects, although not everyone will experience them. A mild reaction (paleness or redness of the skin, slight puffiness, initial burning or itching) may temporarily occur in the area where the cream is used. This is common and should disappear in a short while. If you experience any troublesome or unusual effects, stop using it and check with your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.

If you know that you are prone to having sensitive skin, please test just a small amount first. Keep in mind that some minor localised redness is normal.
